CarBivTir is the operations platform MIT-DEV builds for a road-haulage (TIR) operator running trucks across Europe. We deliver the API, the web application and the cloud infrastructure behind the daily work of its dispatchers, HR and finance teams.

The challenge
The operator's work was spread across spreadsheets, fuel-card portals, telematics dashboards and messaging apps. Following one truck from the order to the invoice meant opening all of them, and checking fuel meant comparing two sources by hand. The platform had to:
- Run dispatch: orders, trucks, trailers and drivers planned in one place.
- Control costs: fuel, service and insurance checked against real data.
- Close the loop: every trip traced through to the invoice and the payment.
Work spread across tools
- Orders and costs in spreadsheets
- Fuel checked across card portals and telematics dashboards
- Decisions passed along in messaging apps
One operations platform
- Dispatch, fleet, people and finance in one system
- Fuel cross-checked automatically, with theft alerts
- Every truck traceable from order to invoice
What we built
Dispatch. Orders are created and planned on a Planner view, with truck and trailer swaps and several trucks on one order, while a dispatcher-performance dashboard shows how each team performs.

Fleet. Documents for every truck, trailer and driver, service planning with periodic technical inspections, a live map of the fleet and data-quality checks on the telematics feed.

Routes and parkings. A route calculator gives the distance, driving time, tolls, fuel, CO2 and a schedule that respects driving and rest rules, country by country. A parking map finds secured parkings on the route and books a place.

Fuel control. Fuel-card purchases are imported and cross-checked against the tanks' telematics data, and a suspected diesel theft sends an alert to the team.

People. Onboarding with employment documents generated automatically, attendance, leave, payroll and offboarding, percentage-based pay for dispatchers, and each driver's hours of service.

Finance. Invoicing, payment import, the ledger, analytics and currency conversion, in one accounting workbench.

Accidents and insurance. Truck accidents and motor insurance files moved from spreadsheets into the platform, with insurer billing and reconciliation.
Security. Access logs, automatic logout, two-factor authentication and GDPR rules.
What comes next
Current work adds AI: a messaging bot that reads employees' receipts and sends them to finance for approval, and automatic data extraction from leasing, insurance and service documents.
The result
One system where the operator follows a truck from the order to the invoice, catches fuel anomalies early and replaces manual reconciliation with traceable records.
