Colectare.md

Debt Recovery Group is a Moldovan debt recovery company that works for individuals and businesses. MIT-DEV built its public website, colectare.md, in Romanian, Russian and English, and a separate platform where its team manages debtors and their cases.

The challenge

Debt recovery moves through stages with rules of their own: a friendly reminder, early collection, court, enforcement and sometimes the sale of the debt. Each stage needs the right documents, deadlines and parties, and a case that goes quiet is money that is not recovered. The company needed:

• A clear public face: a site that explains each service to creditors and to debtors, in three languages.
• One record per debtor: every case, document and payment in one place.
• Cases that keep moving: each stage showing what it needs next.

What we built

A website that explains the process. colectare.md presents the company and its six services, from soft and early collection to court collection, enforcement, the assignment of debts and recovery based on receipts, with separate paths for creditors and debtors.

A page for every service. Each service has its own page that explains when it applies and how it works, so a creditor can choose the right one before getting in touch.

A platform for the case team. Behind the site, a separate platform holds the debtor records and the cases: intake, documents, the status of each case across the court and enforcement stages, payments and the communication with all parties. It knows what a case at each stage requires and surfaces the next action.

Under the hood

The public site runs on WordPress, so the team edits its pages and news itself. The case platform is a separate Django application with its own access, so case data is kept apart from the marketing site.

The result

Debt Recovery Group has a public site that explains its services in three languages and brings in new cases, and a platform where every case, document and payment is followed through to the end.
