DoctorChat

DoctorChat is a telemedicine platform that gives patients access to specialists around the clock, in their own language, with a medical record that builds up across visits. It runs at doctorchat.md and doctorchat.ro.

The challenge

Many patients have no specialist they can reach when they need one: a chronic condition that needs regular check-ins, a second opinion on test results, a mental-health consultation outside clinic hours. The specialists exist, but their time is hard to book. The platform had to:

• Route: take a patient from a description of their situation to the right specialty.
• Connect: make a specialist reachable at any hour, scheduled or on demand.
• Remember: keep each patient's history in one record across visits.

What we built

From a description to the right specialist. Patients describe their situation and are routed to the right specialty, from pediatrics and cardiology to dermatology and psychological counselling. Each of the 82 specialties lists its verified doctors with their credentials.

Scheduled or on demand. A patient can book a consultation for later or join a session right away, by text and, where appropriate, by video. The steps are short: register, choose the doctor, describe the problem, fill in a questionnaire, pay and get the consultation.

A record that builds up. Every visit adds to the patient's medical record, so the specialist starts each consultation with the full context.

Tools for specialists. Specialists see their queue and the patient's context, and write notes, prescribe and refer from the platform.

Three languages, two markets. Patients and doctors use the platform in Romanian, Russian or English across doctorchat.md and doctorchat.ro, with translation handled by the platform.

The result

Round-the-clock reach and language coverage make consultations bookable and specialist time available to patients across markets, including those with no specialist nearby.
